There are two major components in weed management, Pre-Emergent applications and Post-Emergent applications. Seeds are constantly being blown into your property and very little moisture is needed for these seedlings to germinate. Pre-Emergent applications stop the seedlings from germinating and emerging from the soil. Post-Emergent applications are applied to any existing weeds that have germinated and emerged from the soil.

Horn Pest Management can design a treatment plan that best fits each customer’s expectations and budgets. Service warranties are offered along with any annual weed management package.

PRE-EMERGENT PACKAGE:

This application is made to the soil and is intended to prevent the seeds from germinating. This treatment is much more effective if existing weeds are removed. For best results, two treatments a year along with Post-Emergent treatments are recommended. HPM will only warranty Complete Weed Management Packages.

POST-EMERGENT PACKAGE:

This application is made directly to the foliage of existing weeds. This application will have no effect on seeds that have germinated but have yet to emerge from the soil. HPM will only warranty Complete Weed Management Packages.

COMPLETE WEED MANAGEMENT PACKAGE:

This is a combination of two Pre-Emergents annually and six to ten
Post-Emergents annually depending on current weed pressure. HPM offers localized warranty service on this package.
